Simple Watchlist for iPhone
Last updated 7 September 2026
Keep every show, film and video you mean to watch in one place, and remember what you thought of it.
Tap the add button, type what it is called, and choose whether it is a show, a film or a video. That is the whole thing — nothing else is required. The app deliberately does not look titles up for you: a search that quietly misses half of what people actually watch, which is what every free catalogue does with streaming originals, is worse than typing six words yourself.
Paste the video's link into the link field. The app reads the link on the device, recognises it as a video and marks it as one, and keeps it so you can tap through when you are ready to watch. It does not fetch anything from YouTube, so you will need to type the video's name in yourself. Give it a name you will recognise in a month, rather than the one the channel gave it.
Everything works offline, because nothing in the app needs a connection. Adding, editing, ticking off, rating, noting, searching your list, reminders and export all behave identically in aeroplane mode. The only thing that needs the network is buying or restoring Premium, which the App Store handles.
Check that notifications are allowed for this app in iOS Settings, and that the reminder is still switched on for that item. Reminders are not scheduled for a time that has already passed. If you have Focus or a sleep schedule on, iOS may have held the notification back until it ended.
The app asks whether you would like Premium, and you can carry on without it by ticking something off or deleting something you have gone off. What it never does is hide, lock or delete anything you have already saved — the limit only ever applies to adding something new. Everything on your list stays readable, editable and exportable whatever your subscription is doing.
Yes. Ticking something off puts it away, but it does not throw it out — the note and the rating are the point of keeping it. If you are at the limit and want room, delete the ones you no longer care about.
Open Settings inside the app and tap Restore Purchases. Make sure you are signed in with the same Apple Account you bought it with. You will not be charged again.
Your list is included in iPhone backups. If you restore a new device from a backup, it comes with it. There is no cloud copy held by this app, so a device with no backup means the list is gone — exporting occasionally is worth doing.
Premium can export every item, with its rating and note, as a spreadsheet from Settings. The file is yours to keep anywhere you like, and it opens in Numbers, Excel or anything else that reads CSV.
Subscriptions are managed by the App Store, not by this app. Open Settings inside the app and tap Manage Subscription, or go to Settings → your name → Subscriptions on your iPhone.
Email alex.walls@lekker.marketing. Please say which iPhone and which version of iOS you are on — it is in Settings → General → About — and what you were doing when it went wrong.
